The S10's new dynamic balance designed acoustic array will ensure clean, full-range sound no matter what your listening to, regardless of whether you are simply listening to music or upgrading your home cinema setup with an advanced Atmos configuration. This patented technology will analyse the speaker's entire electro-acoustic and mechanical system for improved material selection and more efficient geometry. The Dynamic Balance technology will pinpoint and eliminate issues that reduce speaker performance before they become a part of the finished product.
It will deliver high-resolution audio thanks to the newly designed Terylene dome tweeter. This tweeter features curvilinear formers that extend response and lower resonance. The powerful ceramic motor structure inside the S10 will also lower system resonance and extend low frequency response and provide better dispersion in the critical mid-range, thus delivering clear and detailed high frequency response; therefore a more realistic reproduction of vocals and instruments can be achieved. The S10 is certified and capable of delivering 40 kHz, supporting the latest the latest high-resolution audio files.
Mica-reinforced polypropylene cones with butyl rubber surrounds, massive ceramic motor structures and high-temperature Conex fibre spiders all combine to create the custom drivers within the Polk S10 Speaker that work to deliver exceptionally high efficiency, producing clean, clear bass, better linearity, lower distortion and greater durability.
The power port in the Polk S10 Speaker uses a patented design that will smoothly transition the air flow from the speaker port to the listening area. It will also achieve extension of the overall bass port, and will provide a greater surface area to eliminate turbulence and distortion, producing bigger, more musical, deep bass impact. The S10 will offer 3dB more bass response output than if it were to have a more conventional port.
It'll work with even the most modestly-powered amplifier or receiver. It does not matter whether you are connecting the S10 to a new digital processor, or an older rig, the sound reproduction will remain spacious, clear and realistic - It's also compatible with the latest Dolby and DTS surround sound technologies. A two-way cascading tapered crossover array will give the listener a seamless and lifelike soundstage, regardless of where you are seated within the listening space, eliminating the sweet spot and dispersing it all around you.
